Travel

Navigate the massive Earth-scale world efficiently using various travel methods.

Players can teleport to:

  • Town spawn/town spawn (if you’re a resident)
  • Nation spawn/nation spawn (if your town is in a nation)

Not available:

  • Teleporting to ally towns
  • Teleporting to other towns in the same nation
  • Teleporting to other nations

When using teleport commands:

  • Moving cancels the teleport timer
  • Taking damage cancels the teleport timer
  • Stand still and avoid combat while teleporting

The world wraps around at the edges. If you travel west from Alaska, you’ll end up in Russia. This allows continuous travel around the Earth-scale map.

Finding new areas:

  • Use the dynmap to explore the world and find unclaimed areas
  • Travel on foot or with mounts to discover new locations
  • Look for areas away from existing settlements
  • Check the map for wilderness areas suitable for building

Planning routes:

  • Use the dynmap to plan your path
  • Follow roads or established paths when possible
  • Avoid crossing through claimed territory without permission

Efficient travel:

  • Use horses or other mounts for speed
  • Build roads between your locations

Portal restrictions (one-way only):

  • Overworld → Nether: You can enter the Nether from the overworld through a portal normally
  • Nether → Overworld: You cannot use portals in the Nether to return to the overworld
  • Portals only work in one direction: overworld to Nether
  • Use other methods to return to the overworld (teleports, death, etc.)

Building restrictions:

  • Rails — cannot be placed in the Nether
  • Ice blocks — cannot be placed in the Nether

These restrictions help maintain Nether gameplay balance.

Safety:

  • Nether is dangerous — bring good gear
  • Build protected paths or use existing ones
  • Watch for hostile mobs and players
  • Plan your return (using a teleport) — portals only work overworld → Nether, not the reverse

Manual navigation:

  • Write down coordinates of important locations
  • Use F3 to see your current coordinates
  • Share coordinates with friends via chat or Discord
  • Use the dynmap to visualize locations
