Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”Before founding a town, ensure you have:
- Gold cost: 256 gold (one-time creation fee)
- Materials: Basic building supplies for your first structures
- Location: A spot in wilderness (unclaimed area) with room to expand
- Population: You can start solo, but you’ll need residents to grow
1) Create town
Section titled “1) Create town”Use the command to create your town:
/town new <name>Choose a unique name that represents your settlement. Once created, you become the Mayor with full town control. See Roles and Permissions for details on mayor powers.
Town Naming Rules
Rule 3.2: Fictional town names don’t need to worry about location. A nonfictional town name must be at least fairly close to the real life location. For example, a town cannot be named "Paris" if it is located in India. For very popular town names, towns are also not allowed to use “loopholes”. For example, naming a WMC town "Berlin" in Ohio would not be allowed, despite Berlin, Ohio existing in real life.
Renaming cost: If you need to rename your town later, it costs 32 gold.
2) Set home
Section titled “2) Set home”Set your town’s spawn point:
/town set spawnThis becomes the default location where residents can teleport with /town spawn.
3) Invite residents
Section titled “3) Invite residents”Start building your community:
/town invite <player>Residents can help with building, contribute to upkeep, and expand your claims.
