Parties

Form parties with other players to share experience, communicate privately, and coordinate activities using mcMMO’s party system.

Create a new party:

/party create <party_name> [password]

Examples:

/party create Adventurers
/party create MiningGroup quest123
  • Party name — Choose a unique name for your party
  • Password (optional) — Set a password to restrict access

Join an existing party:

/party join <party_name> [password]

Accept an invitation:

/party accept

Leave your current party:

/party quit

As a party leader, invite players:

/party invite <player>

Invited players will receive a notification and can accept with /party accept.

Remove a member from your party:

/party kick <player>

Only party leaders can kick members.

Transfer party leadership to another member:

/party leader <player>

Parties have a private chat channel for members only.

Toggle party chat:

/partychat

or

/pc

Send message without toggling:

/p <message>

When party chat is active, all messages you type will be sent to party members only.

Lock party (invite-only):

/party lock

Unlock party (anyone can join):

/party unlock

Set or change password:

/party password <new_password>

Remove password:

/party password

Disband your party (leader only):

/party disband

This removes all members and deletes the party.

Parties can share experience points (XP) among members. XP sharing provides bonuses based on the number of nearby party members:

  • 1 member nearby — 10% XP bonus
  • 2 members nearby — 15% XP bonus
  • 3 members nearby — 20% XP bonus
  • 4+ members nearby — Up to 50% XP bonus (at 10 members)

XP sharing unlocks at party level 10.

  • Faster leveling — Earn more XP when working together
  • Cooperative play — Rewards for staying close to party members
  • Shared progress — All members benefit from party activities

As your party levels up, new features unlock:

  • Level 1 — Party chat (/partychat)
  • Level 5 — Alliances (party-to-party alliances)
  • Level 8 — Item share
  • Level 10 — XP share (experience bonuses)

Party levels increase as members earn XP together and participate in activities.

Parties are great for:

  • Mining trips — Share XP and coordinate resource gathering
  • Adventures — Explore structures together and coordinate activities
  • Skill training — Maximize XP gains through cooperation
  • Temporary groups — Quick coordination without town/nation commitment
  • Events — Organize players for server events or tournaments
