Changes from Vanilla

WorldMC includes several modifications from vanilla Minecraft. Here are the key changes you should know about.

Mending is not available on WorldMC. This enchantment has been completely removed from the game. You’ll need to repair equipment using Experience (XP) at anvils instead.

See Progression → Gear for details on repairing equipment.

Fortune enchantment does not work on gold ore. This is intentional for economic balance. Fortune works normally on other ores and crops.

Harvesting certain crops gives you experience points. This is a non-vanilla mechanic that rewards farming activities.

See Progression → XP Sources for details on which crops provide XP and other ways to gain experience.

Smelting cactus and kelp does not grant experience. Unlike vanilla Minecraft, these items will not provide XP when smelted in furnaces. Other smeltable items (ores, food, etc.) still grant XP normally.

Mobs do not drop gold. Unlike vanilla Minecraft, hostile mobs will not drop gold nuggets or ingots. Gold must be obtained through other methods like mining, voting, tasks, or trading.

See Economy → Earning for ways to obtain gold.
