Experience-Based Repair

Primary repair method:

• Repair equipment using Experience (XP) at anvils
• XP is the main resource for maintaining your gear
• Plan your XP usage carefully — gear repairs consume XP

Repair strategy:

• Keep XP reserves for important repairs
• Repair gear before it breaks completely
• Consider the repair cost vs. replacement cost

Anvil Repair

Use anvils to:

• Repair gear — restore durability using XP and materials
• Combine items — merge enchants onto gear
• Rename items — personalize your gear

Anvil Costs

Each use increases repair cost. Eventually items become “too expensive” to repair further. Plan your repairs wisely!

Enchantments

Unbreaking

Unbreaking levels:

• Unbreaking I-III — standard levels (reduces durability loss by 25-75%)
• Unbreaking IV — available on WorldMC
• Unbreaking V — available on WorldMC

Higher Unbreaking levels significantly extend gear lifespan, making them valuable for long-term equipment maintenance.

Other useful enchants:

• Efficiency — faster mining/chopping (tools)
• Fortune — more drops from ores/crops (note: Fortune does not work on gold ore)
• Sharpness — increased damage (weapons)
• Protection — reduces all damage (armor)

Gear Maintenance

Since Mending is removed, invest in high Unbreaking levels (IV or V) to extend your gear’s lifespan. Repair regularly with XP and materials to keep your equipment in good condition!
